My name is Erin Hudson and I am honored to serve as president of Iota Iota Omega and to represent such dynamic women devoted to the purpose of our beloved sisterhood. Iota Iota Omega was chartered on October 7, 1972 and has served the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph community for 50 years. We are a hard-working chapter, comprised of dedicated women who strive to provide outstanding “Service to all Mankind.” Established in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the oldest sorority founded by African American women. We are a welcoming chapter with a loving spirit and a big heart for service. If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and you are new to the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area or are an inactive member looking for a chapter to reactivate, we welcome you to visit Iota Iota Omega Chapter. Soaring to Greater Heights Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood is the 2022 - 2026 International Theme for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority which provides programs that enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of the local, national and international communities. It includes five program targets that are designed to advance the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha with excellence and underscore our commitment to sustainable service. |
Mission Statement The purpose of Iota Iota Omega Chapter is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind as stated in the constitution and Bylaws of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. |
